About the Chefs

-Chelle is an accountant from Houston. She likes to cook, but likes to bake much more. Baking and cooking helps her relax when work and life get hectic. She loves food. It’s kind of why she’s tubby, but she’s working on getting rid of the tub. Hehe. She loves watching the Food Network and likes to recreate dishes she sees, but adds her own flair to them. Chelle recently started eating veggies, so hopefully some of the new dishes she posts will be of the healthy variety.

-Lina is an illustrator from Brooklyn who loves to cook and eat. A semi-vegetarian (no meat), lover of all things organic and anything sweet. Enjoys cooking and learning about Indian and Japanese cuisines (and most other ethnic cuisines). And an avid baker, currently working on her bread making skills while getting sidetracked by other baking endeavors. She loves cooking shows (esp. PBS ones) and collecting cookbooks. She’s all about learning and experimenting.

-Lina & Chelle became friends through a forum a few years ago and have met several times on Chelle’s trips to the Big Apple. They get along great, and share a love of food and cooking. We decided to create this blog because we thought it would be an easy way to share recipes with each other. It’s also a way for us to share the different foodie places we love in our home towns. We believe sharing is caring. So, we’re sharing with the world. We hope y’all will enjoy the dishes & desserts we share, and hope to get feedback on your attempts at them, too. And, if you get a chance to visit the places we recommend, let us know how you liked, or didn’t like, it. ^__^

natss Nats- A university student right now in upstate New York, and originally a cranky resident of NYC. She enjoys traveling, cooking, gaming, and surfing youtube at 3am in the morning.

osk1.jpg Osaka- one of many nicknames for Thomas, an aspiring lyricist from Buffalo NY, and guy of good nature and wisecracks. He loves to cook occasionally, trying new recipes that not only taste delicious, but entertain the eyes and tease your palette. Yet another watcher of the Food Network, he usually dabbles in the kitchen of his job where he works in foodservice.

png1 Png – An aerospace engineering undergrad from Singapore who actually really pines to be a home chef. Makes up for it by being a foodie while travelling the world and trying out Gordon Ramsay’s recipes at home (they aren’t that hard, really, some of them).

Ryan- an IT analyst living in Houston who enjoys a good meal, both preparation and consumption. $43,000 away from being a professional chef, he dabbles and learns from reverse engineering popular dishes and drinks. Owns a ridiculously stocked bar. Enjoys ghost hunting, travel, and spending way too long on the Internets.

Alex is a Houston-based sportswriter and is currently managing editor at a local golf magazine. His job requires a lot of travel, and it seems is always driving to some exotic locale such as Tyler or even Fredericksburg. When he’s not on the road he enjoys cooking outdoors and finding new and exotic ways to prepare meat. He enjoys history, working out, comic books, the Houston Astros, the Houston Texans, the Texas Longhorns and golf.

You crazy kids. Where is your RSS link? It should be in your sidebar so more people can keep track of your undertakings. I’m a geek, of many sorts, so knew to look for rss.xml, but hey, make it easy on the civilians.
